Pretty Little Thing shoppers have been left in hysterics over a bizarre unitard that leaves very little to the imagination.

Pictures of the brand’s Shape Black Slinky One Shoulder Cut Out Unitard, which retails for £10.50 on the website, were shared online – leaving people scratching their heads over the peculiar design.

The one-piece bodysuit features a short-style leg on one side, while on the other side, it has a high bikini cut out.

“Are we just running out of ideas or…?” the woman who shared the image captioned the post.

The asymmetrical design is being savagely ridiculed on Twitter by users who are calling it ‘half’ done.

The woman also pointed out that PrettyLittleThing’s styling advice was also confusing.

The website description says the outfit is “sure to add some drama to your new season wardrobe.

“Style with barely-there heels and simple accessories for a look that will have all eyes on you,” the description added.

Since being shared, the post has racked up more than 96,800 likes and 9,700 retweets so far.

One person said: “They half a**ed this idea.”

Shoppers didn’t hold back

“One butt cheek to breathe and the other covered,” another user joked.

“It’s for when one butt cheek has zits but the other has perfect skin,” someone else joked.

However, some users suggested the unitard is meant to be worn under asymmetrical dresses.

One user wrote: “You put it on before stepping into your slinky LBD it’s not shapewear it just goes underneath garments that have no space for a bra or have risqué high split.”

Whilst someone else added: ‘It’s most likely shapewear or an undergarment for a dress with a super high split like this.”

But not everyone was convinced as a Twitter user added: “Even if it’s shapewear – why is one cheek hanging out?”

The Mirror has approached Pretty Little Thing for comment.
